Why we use soy wax…
Soy is a natural, clean burning wax derived from soy beans. By choosing soy we support American farmers and our local economy.
Soy burns at a lower temperature and produces no soot and smoke like paraffin candles might. They also burn 30-50% longer than other waxes.
Because of its low melt point, candles made with soy and scented properly produce a stronger scent. The larger amount of liquid wax pool around the wick help the fragrance evaporate into the air.
If you cannot smell your fragrance, it could be that you have become accustomed. Leaving the room for a breath of fresh air and returning will reset your senses and heighten your awareness of the fragrance.
Although our candles are highly fragrant, our homes are made with open spaces and scents may vary. Some of our fragrances are bold and will fill a room. Some fragrances are mild and meant to create an ambiance in your space. If you find that our jars do not provide enough fragrance in your larger rooms, you may want to purchase two and burn at the same time.
Soy wax is easily cleaned up with soap and water. However…do not wash it down your drain.
